Sound NDT Solutions (SNS) has been providing advanced NDT solutions and expert Level III consulting services since it commenced operations in in 2014. In 2018, the company expanded, acquiring the NDT division assets of Fugro USA. The founders of Sound NDT Solutions, Jason Landers and Matt Hendrix, each have decades of experience in Non-destructive Testing and Asset Integrity Inspection Programs. Both are NDT subject matter experts and holders of multiple ASNT Level III certifications, regularly provide advanced NDT training programs, and are recognized by their clients and peers as industry code compliance authorities and as leaders in the Testing, Inspection, and Certification field.

As the name implies, Sound NDT Solutions are experts in advanced ultrasonic testing solutions, specializing in phased array and automated ultrasonic weld testing techniques and systems. From its headquarters in Conroe Texas, SNS provides a full range of conventional and advanced non-destructive testing services, whether at its state-of-the art, in-house testing laboratory, or via its mobile field services labs, delivering its NDT expertise to its clients’ facilities and jobsites. SNS shares a campus with its sister company Top Notch EDM Services, which allows for fast, cost-effective coordination in design, engineering, precision machining and welding, and fabrication of calibration standards, flaw samples and real world project component mockups.

Jason Landers
Jason Landers

Jason Landers is a recognized expert in the field of non-destructive testing, with more than 25 years of experience in NDT and Inspection, Level III consulting and quality program administration, code compliance, and NDT-related product fabrication. He is always ready to explore the cutting edge of NDT capabilities and is prized by his clients for his willingness to take on their most challenging NDT scenarios. Jason’s NDT proficiencies include (but are not limited to) extensive experience in Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT), Time of Flight Diffraction (TOFD), Automated Ultrasonic Testing (AUT) systems, and Full Matrix Capture (FMC) and Total Focusing Method (TFM) techniques and equipment. Jason is also very familiar with multiple advanced ultrasonic data acquisition & analysis software systems, including modeling and simulation programs. In addition, he has been a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) for more than 20 years.

Jason is also an accomplished provider of Level III compliance consulting services, including development and implementation of testing standards and protocols, examination procedures, and training materials and classroom programs. He has provided corporate NDT Level III expertise for numerous major companies, particularly in the oil and gas sector.

Matt Hendrix
Matt Hendrix

Matt Hendrix is an experienced NDT specialist with a passion for consulting and training. He is a highly skilled and qualified inspector in Automated Ultrasonic Testing (AUT) and subject matter expert in manual Ultrasonics (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) and Visual Testing (VT), holding ASNT Level III certifications in all of these methods. Matt is also an AWS certified welding inspector (CWI) and has served as the corporate NDT Level III officer for numerous companies.

Matt is also a highly skilled welder and machinist with years of industry experience coordinating complex, diverse, and labor-intensive projects. In addition, he is an experienced and effective instructor of NDT skills and ASNT and ASME compliance authority, and regularly consults and provides training courses for client and peer companies and individual NDT professionals.
